Encounters at the End of the World

Last night met up with Kendra for a drink, there was much gossiping, then went to see Encounters at the End of the World with Tao and Kelly. Amazing. I want to see every Werner Herzog movie ever made.

Today I'm having lunch with my cousin and then I have to come home and finish rewriting my application essay for the New School, and a poem for the little book I promised Nate Pritts last November. I really shouldn't do anything but sit in a chair till it's done, but I also really want to go to this.

Dear Leigh,

If you haven't yet, be sure to see: KASPER HAUSER (Every Man Against Himself and God Against All) – Aguirre, the Wrath of God, and Even Dwarfs Started Small.

Equally amazing are the stories of his stars, Bruno S. and Klaus Kinski. Maybe more. A lot more. And that is a lot, considering how amazing his films can be.

OOPS. I don't know why I forgot my favorite: STROSZEK.

Here is the synopsis:

"In Berlin, an alcoholic man, recently released from prison, joins his elderly friend and a prostitute in a determined dream to leave Germany and seek a better life in Wisconsin."

How could it not be great?

And the last scene of Strozek is maybe the most amazing thing ever. Most amazing scene, definitely. And maybe, yes, the most amazing thing.

I don't like seeing you so stressed out. Don't be stressed out. Think about poetic walks in the park and cute men with raincoats on. The world is full of bad phases compromised with good phases, this is a "chaotic phase" that will be rewarded with a "chill phase" think of my love. think of those ocean tapes that lull people to sleep. i like funnel cakes.
